Telenor Connexion has chosen Telenor Global Services (TGS) as their IPX provider for its M2M services (machine to machine).
M2M services is used in sectors like transportation, logistics, healthcare, and security and it is based on a SIM card subscription. It enabled e.g devices, cameras and alarms to be constantly connected to emergency services or private monitoring stations as well as it provides an overview of the physical location and status of vehicles and assets throughout the supply chain.
This IPX partnership allows for Telenor Connexion to secure quality of service for M2M traffic to the Telenor Business Units in Europe and Asia. The Telenor Global IPX is a secure solution which guarantees high quality throughout the value chain (end-to-end). This means that Telenor Connexion is able to serve higher volumes of traffic as well as prevent potential maintenance issues, with increased end user quality as the result.
The Telenor Global IPX offers a flexible and future proof solution for routing as well as for new M2M services. It will also support LTE for M2M services globally.
