TGS is establishing a new office in Singapore in order to strengthen the cooperation with both external partners and the Telenor mobile operations in Asia.
More than 50% of Telenor’s revenue comes from the Telenor business units in Asia, and more than 50% of the world’s mobile connections are in the same area.
“TGS aims to be a significant player in the Asian market, and to follow the development in Telenor to support the Group’s increased Asian activities we will gather all our East Asian resources and activities into one powerful unit,” says Terje Haufmann, VP Asia, TGS.

The office will open in August 2014, and it will be shared with two other Telenor entities. The TGS activities in Hong Kong and Bangkok will be moved to the new office in Singapore.
