Highest end-to-end customer experience through Telenor Global IPX.

Telenor Global Services (TGS) is the international carrier and IPX/LTE Gateway for the Telenor Group, aiming to offer the highest end-to-end customer experience through the Telenor Global IPX.

Bjørn Iversen, the CEO of TGS, has recently been interviewed by Capacity Magazine and Hot Telecoms on the development of IPX and how TGS can contribute in making connectivity more secure and increase the quality, with improved customer experience as the outcome.

“The thirteen mobile operators of the Telenor Group are all eager to utilize the Telenor Global IPX for their international services. The market is really ready for IPX now, especially for services that require security and priority and we aim to position ourselves as one of the major IPXs in the years to come and extend our service offering outside of the Telenor Group,” says Bjørn Iversen.

Taking responsibility for the customer experience when the reliability and security of public internet are insufficient is a long term business strategy for TGS, complemented by the focus area of offering a more flexible and customer friendly solution for all products and services.

This topic will be addressed further at the IPX Summit in London, 24-25 September, where TGS will be one of the exhibitors and the moderator of an IPX roundtable with the topic; “What will it take for IPX to gain mainstream acceptance as the best quality alternative to the internet?”.

The Telenor Global IPX platform is designed to deliver high-quality IP connectivity over longer distances, as well as for transport of voice, signalling and data traffic between operators, with market-level quality and security. “The development of next-generation mobile networks is beginning to drive the huge demand for IPX. With 4G implemented in 300 networks worldwide, these networks are realizing the need for better ways of hosting services across their networks. Operators see that they need to have managed services and M2M on their LTE roaming services, and IPX is the answer to that,” says Iversen.

With the increased market focus on IPX and LTE, TGS will also have sponsorships at both the LTE World Summit in Amsterdam, 23-25 June and the LTE Asia conference in Singapore, 23-25 September. In Amsterdam TGS will be moderating the LTE Open Mind Share session with the topic: “Are IPX & LTE all we need to address Subscriber data demand in the next Decade?” and at LTE Asia TGS will be holding a speaking slot on how to enable effective LTE Roaming through IPX.
